12/21/09

Today is the eighth anniversary of my mother's death. I still can't believe she is gone. We finally made it to California. Gerry's mom had a bad spell today and she isn't feeling well. She had a pre-stroke. It is the second time that she has had one of these. Gerry is really sad about how ill his parents are getting.

So sorry about your mom, I can only imagine how hard it must be at this time of the year! I was just reflecting on how long its been since losing my father (almost 12 years) and yet it seems like yesterday some days...

There's not a good time to lose anyone but this time of the year is extra sad. Hope you have a joyous Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.

You will always think of her on that day, Kim, and it will always be happy/sad thoughts. Last May, it was 20 years since I lost my mom and I still get sad when that day rolls around. There is so much that's happened in my life now over the past 20 years that I would have liked to share with her. None of us know how many years we have left or what those years will hold ...happy or sad. So love like there's no tomorrow and treasure every new day as the gift it is. Merry Christmas to you and all of yours!
